For the 7YO to 12YO draft divisions, teams are created through a draft by the coaches. During our tryout on 02/08 at Civitan Park, we will have each player go through a few stations and then at each station, their skill level is evaluated and a score is created. We take all of the scores across the different stations to total our overall score for each player. Players are then sorted and ranked for the skill score and that is the basis of how we will create our draft rounds.

Some players will not have to come to the tryouts. These are players we already have a skill rating as part of the rating exit process we had our coaches complete after each season in 2013. Not all coaches provided ratings though. Players that received a rating in the fall (2013) won't have to be at the tryout. Those we have from the spring (2013) that are playing the same format (kid pitch to kid pitch or coach pitch to coach pitch) won't have to attend either. Based on the current players registered, our website has a link "Required at the Tryout" for who must be at the tryout and who is not required at the tryout. We will update the list as more registrations occur. The list currently has registered players for 7YO to 12YO in the draft division.
