Uxbridge Youth Soccer League's In-Town program is for all children between 3 - 8 years old that are not yet old enough for the Travel Program. This program is geared towards teaching children basic soccer skills and preparing them for their move to our Travel Program. Using the Soccer-Plus program children are taught basic ball skills including dribbling, passing, and shooting.
As the children move up in the program skills such as offensive and defensive tactics are added so the children are ready for the transition to travel. We offer a variety of camps, leagues, and games throughout the year for all ages! We encourage participants of all ages and skill levels to come out and join us!
Our U-4, U-5 and U-6 Programs are Co-Ed, the U-8 teams are broken between boys and girls. Starting in 2012 the In-town program partnered with Challenger Sports to support our In-Town program and to bring the British Soccer Camp each summer.
Our U4 program is back for Fall 2015. U4 sessions are designed to introduce young children to soccer through fun activities with their parents.

This program is a 6 week program running from April 13 - June 4, with Memorial Day weekend off.
The U4 program is aimed at getting our youngest players and an accompanying parent out on the fields. This will likely be their first set of structured activities and with your help they will have a lot fun, getting their first touches of a soccer ball, playing great activities and making new friends.

In the spring all of practices are at Lower McCloskey field on Oak St. U8 games are held on Saturdays at the back field on Hecla St.
Are uniforms provided by the league?
We provide a uniform for free for all first time players. It consists of a reversible jersey, shorts and socks. There is a replacement fee if a new uniform is needed for a returning player. A new pair of socks will be given to each player at the beginning of each season.
What equipment does my child need?
Shinguards are mandatory. Cleats are recommended but not required.
Can I volunteer to coach my child's team?
Absolutely! UYSL is an all volunteer coaching staff so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Do I need coaching experience to volunteer?
No, in fact if you have never played soccer you can still coach. Our Director of In-Town Coaching provides a curriculum, and a list of drills to be done at each practice. We also provide the Soccer-Plus text book as well as access to the Soccer Plus website.
